Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD

Viridian is zoned to schools within HEB ISD, including Viridian Elementary — located on-site — Harwood Junior High and Trinity High School. Each of these high-performing campuses are recognized for challenging curriculums and innovative teaching methods that have earned numerous accolades and impressive scores on state-mandated tests.

The success of these schools begins at the district level, and HEB ISD is one of the state’s most celebrated districts. Ranked in the Top 20 Best Public School Districts in Texas by Niche.com, HEB ISD also is the No. 1 district in Texas for academic performance and financial efficiency, as rated by the Education Resource Group, and is one of only 24 districts in Texas to earn a distinction in Post Secondary Readiness. It also has been listed among the Best Communities for Music Education for nine consecutive years.

Rich in diversity, HEB ISD prepares students to compete on a global stage. International Baccalaureate, Asian languages, Spanish Immersion, Core Knowledge Pre-K, and sister schools in China and India are just some of the innovative international programs offered in the district.

Arlington ISD

Ranked the 11th largest school district in Texas, Arlington ISD offers students many chances to excel in academics, fine arts, athletics and other extracurricular activities. Gifted and talented curriculums are available for elementary and secondary students, and incorporate co-curricular and extracurricular endeavors. High school students can graduate with college credit in 28 courses through the district’s Advanced Placement program, and Tarrant County College dual credit courses are offered through a special arrangement that charges only $50 per course, including books.

Arlington ISD also offers an International Baccalaureate World School Programme and an acclaimed special education program that focuses on academic success as well as life skills development.

The district has been named one of the nation’s Best Communities for Music Education numerous times and has more than 46,000 students enrolled in fine arts throughout the district. Student athletes can select from a field of sports programs, including soccer, swimming, golf, wrestling, gymnastics, football, volleyball, basketball, track, baseball and softball.

Sailing Center
The Viridian Sailing Center offers aquatic adventure for all ages and experience levels. Both residents and the public can purchase an Annual Pass, giving them access to the Sailing Center and its state-of-the-art RS sailboats. Annual Pass holders also receive registration for all sailing courses and camps.

Viridian Lake Club
The Viridian Lake Club, an exciting 6-acre peninsula overlooking Lake Viridian, is one of the focal points of fun in the community, with four pools, a pavilion, and a small amphitheater. Residents can cool off in the 25-foot conversation pool, train in the lap pool, relax and chat on comfortable loungers under shaded structures, and so much more, while a fenced toddler pool with a play area offers safe fun for your little swimmers.

Viridian Neighborhood Parks
Open space is the heartbeat of Viridian. With more than 1,000 acres dedicated to parks, lakes, recreational areas, trails and open space, Viridian is the perfect place to play and a true refuge from the chaos of life. Unwind by the lake at Lake Slope Park, hit the trail for your morning run, teach your kids how to ride their first bike or fly that kite, play Frisbee with your pooch at Arrowhead Park, unfold the tablecloth for a picture-perfect afternoon picnic at Inspiration Park, relax at the Beach and come hunt for dinosaurs at Fossil Park with your little ones. A planned sailing center will allow you to enjoy peaceful days on the water, and a wedding amphitheater and event center will add even more useful and entertaining options, giving residents a space for formal occasions, family reunions and more. In addition, a new adult pool will be an oasis for those wanting to bask in the sun or float quietly on the water. Living in Viridian means having access to parks and open areas just 700 feet from your doorstep – and walkable streets and winding sidewalks to stroll and bike within the neighborhood, as well as socialize and engage in your community. Part of our commitment is to enhance and preserve wildlife. In fact, 50 percent of Viridian will remain wetlands, lakes and open space for perpetuity.
